Fadzil B. Yunus (Fasilito Y) is a well known Salsa instructor, performer and choreographer in South East Asia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he was the pioneer Salsa instructor in Malaysia who started way back in the early 90's when South American dances were introduced in the KL city. He has been performing & teaching salsa for more than 13 years, both locally and internationally. His technical formation, basically classic routine of teaching and contemporary and was enriched by his dance experiences in Malay's folklore and Classical, Modern, Contemporary. He represented Malaysia in various parts of the world in Dance Folklores Festival in 1988-1992.

He studied basic salsa, merengue, and cumbia with Micky Diez, a very well known Colombian instructor at that time in Kuala Lumpur. His talent was spotted by KL salsa pioneer "Mami" Ludvys and started to perform salsa in 1993 with the dance group "Latin Fantasy". In the same year he was selected to join a well-known dance and entertainment production company, Kit Kat Klub, performing multi types of dances. He was also a choreographer, technical advisor and producer for TV ads, music videos and special events. He was a featured dancer in local television for drama and music events and has even been invited to appear in a talk show interview for salsa.

In 1997, he founded the first salsa dance company in Malaysia, Havana Estudio and has trained lots of dance performers since then. He also contributed by exposing a style of salsa in clubs, on stage, on TV and in print media. His repertoire includes Lambada, Merengue, Cumbia, Sevillanas and the beauty of Argentinean Tango. Famous for his captivating and unique dance style he brought the dance group Bailanismo! to represent Malaysia in the 1st Hong Kong Salsa Congress and in the 1st Thailand Salsa Festival. He was given the responsibility to perform and choreograph for the famous Cuban band, Cubanismo working alongside Mr. Jesus Alemaney when the band visited Malaysia. Fasilito also virtually judged all the top Salsa Competitions and other performance arts in Malaysia for over a decade.

He has since opened his own new dance school, Dance Spirit Co. four years ago. With the knowledge and adeptness to combine his god-given, natural talent with the predefined form, technique and innovativeness, he thus created his unique and elegant style for which he is well known. Sharing his dance spirit passion by training new students through his encouragement, motivation and consistency, his school has made a great victory impact when his "Salsa Spirit Project 2005" students won most titles in last year's salsa competitions.
